Pure Imaging Phantoms

Pure Imaging Phantoms was established in 2018 and specialise in designing and manufacturing medical imaging quality assurance Phantoms used in the calibration of medical imaging systems.  Phantoms are specially designed objects (that mimic human anatomy and tissue) used to evaluate and analyse the image beam quality used in medical equipment such as MRI & ultrasound, radiography and mammography, where the beam of light needs to be regularly calibrated to support the diagnosis.

The company was selected to go on the Northern Max 2022 Business Accelerator programme, where they go to learn about scaling up the business through understanding business case development, routes to market, profiling, people and resources, partnerships, funding and others.  They then presented their idea to a panel of investors in May 2022, where they got to showcase their learning and promote their business to key stakeholders.

Since that time, the company have worked closely with Rav Panesar, Digital Enterprise Advisor and as a result, met with investors at the pitching event, recruited an additional team member and more importantly, successfully acquired funding for their new business offering.  Support from their Advisor was crucial in securing this funding for innovation and will be integral to the next stages of the growth journey.

They have recruited a member of staff and now in the process of working with a technology partner to develop some new AI (artificial intelligence) software.  Funding for their innovation project has been crucial in getting this project started and they hope to have everything in place by the end of the year.  They have also recently been working with John Sharp, Growth Manager for Bradford Council, to help them evaluate their current operations and put them in a position that will enable a rapid scale-up of the business.
