WE ARE CONFIDENT THAT WESTFIELD WILL DELIVER AN OUTSTANDING SHOPPING CENTRE - HEAD OF PROPERTY M&S

BROADWAY SHOPPING CENTRE

Be part of Bradford's major new retail and leisure offer

Westfield, the world's largest shopping centre developer and Meyer Bergman, pan-European retail real estate investor have opened their latest shopping centre in Bradford.

Renowned for their iconic shopping centres in major cities around the globe, Westfield offers the very best in high fashion and leisure.

The Bradford Broadway scheme includes over 70 new retail units, new public spaces, restaurants, cafes and over 1300 car parking spaces. Financial incentives including rate rebates are available to new and expanding retailers.

Tenants in the 570,000 sq ft scheme include Debenhams, Marks and Spencer, Next, Topshop, Topman, Sainsbury's, Superdry, Pattiserie Valerie, Zizzi and Office plus many more.

Bradford has a catchment of almost one million consumers with a weighted annual spend potential of £623 million and this is forecast to grow by more than £250 million highlighting the massive potential for retailers to capture spend.

The Broadway, Bradford won the coveted "Development of the Year" category at the Yorkshire Business Insider Property Awards in 2016. It beat off strong competition from other projects around the Yorkshire region.

The City Centre Growth Zone team within Bradford Council became the first winners of the Revo public sector gold award, a new category for 2016 aimed at local authorities and other public sector bodies to recognise achievement in securing investment. It was awarded for the Council’s work with rate rebates and other initiatives to regenerate Bradford city centre by, to quote Revo,  "taking a proactive approach to securing investment to help support and enhance the retail environment.”  Despite a very challenging economic environment, Bradford Council was also a crucial partner in the delivery and opening of the 570,000 sqft Broadway shopping centre in November 2015.

Plans to redevelop and upgrade the surrounding streets are pressing ahead and the vision is to have a strong restaurant and food offer in this area. The Xchange scheme, on Broadway, has seen Five Guys and Esquires Coffee outlets open. It will also include 100 apartments and an 18,000 sq ft easyGym. Broadway Two, also in Broadway, is on site. It will include a boutique cinema by The Light and several restaurants when it opens in 2017.
