Bradford Location

Bradford is a major city. However, as it borders the Yorkshire Dales, it is ideally situated for you to escape the rigors of a busy city. It is home to many picturesque villages including Haworth, the home of the Brontës, Saltaire, a World Heritage site, and Ilkley.

Bradford's position within the M62 corridor, often described as England's new economic super-region, offers a quick route to Leeds, Manchester and other large urban centres and uniquely easy access to the east and west coasts, ideal for firms looking to import and export.

The district is situated halfway between the Liverpool and Humber ports and London and Edinburgh. Leeds/Bradford International Airport is also situated just 6 miles from the city centre.

These factors contributed to Marks and Spencer's decision to base its new distribution centre at Bradford's ProLogis Park. The centre will employ up to 2,500 people when it opens in 2011/12, and the company's 35-year lease demonstrates huge faith in Bradford as a place to do business.
