When compared to London and the South of England, house prices are still very reasonable (on average, around one third of London prices and just over half of the prices in the South West, according to the Land Registry) and this fact means that for employees looking to relocate a home, convenient both for commuting and the very best schools in the area, will be eminently affordable. And at the lower end of the market, prices are such that many who currently can only afford to rent will be able to get a substantial foot on the property ladder.
Residential hot spots within the Bradford district include the towns of Ilkley and Bingley and the villages of Saltaire, Baildon, Heaton, Haworth and Oxenhope.
Outside the District, but within easy commuting distance are the popular residential areas of North Leeds, North Yorkshire towns such as Harrogate and Skipton and Pennine towns such as Halifax and Hebden Bridge.
