£10m factory is opened in Buttershaw with hope for new jobs

Bosses at a new £10 million Bradford carton factory which started operations this summer have promised expansion next year, including pioneering the UK production of plastic packaging for foods such as salads, fish and milk products.

The 110,000 sq ft Weidenhammer Packaging Group site at Royds Hall Lane, Buttershaw, was inaugurated by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Coun Naveeda Ikram, at a ceremony attended by 300 people, including the Minister Counsellor from the German embassy in London, Joachim Baron von Marschall.
