Our golden Approach really is paying off says PR firm

November 12th, 2010

A Bradford public relations agency has clinched its fourth gold award and taken its tally of industry prizes to 14.

Approach PR, in Little Germany, achieved its latest prizes at the annual Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide awards.

The six-strong firm team took gold for best use of media relations with its Dales Does Bollywood campaign for Skipton’s Rendezvous Hotel.

It won a silver award in the outstanding small consultancy category and was a finalist in the best newsletter section.

Approach PR’s regional media campaign was pitched against national campaigns for major brands such as Weight Watchers and NHS Carers Direct.

CIPR judges described the team as delivering “a gem of a media campaign for the Rendezvous Hotel, which was beautifully imaginative, and perfectly targeted. A very worthy winner.”

Managing director Suzanne Johns said: “I’m so proud of our amazing team who once again have showed that the best of the best in media relations for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire is right here in Bradford.”

Bradford Council also won a gold award in the best newspaper category for its Community Pride publication.

The silver award went to Otley-based editorial and design agency Words and Pictures for M One, a magazine which it produces for Morrisons supermarket.
