MORRISONS chief executive Dalton Philips will be the speaker at the Bradford Chamber of Commerce annual dinner later this year.
It will be the first time Mr Philips, who took over from Marc Bolland at the Yorkshire-based supermarket at the start of the year, has addressed business leaders in the region.
Mr Philips said: “I am looking forward to addressing Bradford businesses about how I’ve found it settling into the role.
"Morrisons have some very exciting plans for the years ahead, and it will be a great opportunity to give guests an insight into these plans as well as talking about the challenges facing all businesses in the current economic climate.”
The dinner will be held at the Ceder Court Hotel on Friday, November 19.
Harold Robinson, Bradford Chamber’s president, said: “We’re delighted that Dalton Philips will speak at this year’s annual dinner of Bradford Chamber.
"The combined track record of both Mr Philips and Morrisons shows that the company is in for more interesting times in the future and attendees at the dinner are sure to hear an interesting address.”
